Hydraulic braking relies on the fact that an incompressible fluid transmits pressure uniformly in all directions (Pascal’s Law). In a vehicle, a driver’s foot force on the brake pedal is transferred through brake fluid to wheel cylinders, amplifying the force and slowing the wheels. The kit reduces this macro-scale system to a compact tabletop model: a primary syringe represents the master cylinder, an orange flexible tube functions as the brake line, and a secondary cylinder applies pressure to a rotatable wheel drum. By manipulating the syringe, learners watch fluid displacement, pressure build-up, and resulting mechanical deceleration right before their eyes.
